I write content that helps people understand and appreciate the world in which we live—content designed to empower your organization and increase your impact.  Consistent quality, delivered on time, is a hallmark of my work.  I have a special affinity for the natural world and our relationships with it.

An academic background in horticulture and landscape architecture, and decades of work experience, inform my writing.  I’ve been crafting land use and natural resource plans and other products for government agencies and NGOs for more than 20 years, and have learned to research, plan, and structure long, complex documents and write accurate, readable content for a variety of readers.

I acknowledge that the land on which I live and work is the homeland of the Methow People. I pay my respects to the Methow People, past, present and future, and honor their continuing presence in their homeland and beyond.  I do that in part by committing 1% of my income as “rent” for my continued occupation of land that was taken from the Methow People.
